M340 Casting

Description

Code numbered L3798G. A casting body that is of similar color and maturity to M340 (but made from refined materials). We do not produce this as a product, but publish its recipe and preparation information. It is important to understand the principles of deflocculation, be able to measure specific gravity effectively and have a good propeller mixer.

Firing

M340 Casting fired bars (cone 4 to 8 bottom to top). The porosity is 2.5% at cone 6, the same as regular M340. Firing to cone 7 reduces it to 1.5%.
